04 Screw Back-seat video monitor applications... Suggestions?
I have an 04 Super-crew with a sunroof, and a center armrest console. I go on a few long trips with passengers, and I'd like to have a video monitor in the back, so they don't have to squint at the Kenwood deck all the way up front. A flip-down won't work due to the sunroof, and not looking to go with headrest monitors either. I've only found 1 viable option, and it's this...
Does anyone have a setup like this? I'm wondering if it would impede the use of the armrest console hatch. Also, how much of a pain to install are they. Or if anyone has any other ideas im not thinking of, post some pics!
Thanks for the read...

Looks like it will work well to me.. It may rob you of the 2 cup holders behind the armrest if you have a lariat.
Most people these days have smart phones capable of streaming and browsing, leave it up to them to entertain themselves. I'd be surprised if they weren't glued to their phones, even while a movie was playing... So if you really want them to be comfy, leave a tablet in the backseat for them. It will be a much better bang for the buck, and it won't be completely useless to you..

I have the 2 rear cup holders, but its not a lariat. Although the original owner bought it custom from Ford, so that's probably why it has all the bells and whistles... You're probably right, but it would be cool to watch a movie with the sound system in the thing. It would be like a theater. lol

Car stereo makers have fallen way too far behind in terms of resolution and versatility IMHO..
I've got an alpine DVD navi touchscreen unit now.. And if I do upgrade it I will probably just do an iPad mini install.. It's actually cheaper, but it's more labor intensive.
