Since you have the 09-13 model f150
Emblems can you tell me which one you purchased for the tailgate so it can sit flush? I've been having trouble finding it, they told me it has to be the flareside, but I can't find any that detail that.

That looks great bro, I'm thinking about getting rid of all my chrome and that's a good piece to get rid of. Also did you prime your tow hooks?

I actually just sanded them down with 120 grit and then 320 grit and used krylon fusion on them. They actually almost feel powder coated.it only took like 4 hours to do. The sanding was the hardest part, because theres a lot of weird angles.

Well Finally finished my 2 day project. I decided to PTM my tow mirror caps! I think it came out great. It really took some patience to wait between coats, but that is what really made the difference. I also painted my F-150 emblems black. It really pops out against the yellow. I will post pics soon, i need my computer.

Looks good!! Definitely one of my favorite 'mods' is the mirror caps. It looks OEM, but man... the difference that little section of paint makes is suh-weet!

What'd you use? DupliColor, Krylon, PD?

I thought about doing that with the letters, but that was after I had the second coat if clear already on it. The paint, primer and clear were all Krylon, except for the rustoleum plasitc primer

Get this part number... In fact that same piece will fit for the tailgate and fenders. It is a fender emblem with out the trim level F150 without FX4, XLT, ect. The only thing you have to do is snip off one alignment pin or the other to fit it to the tailgate.
