Default This addition of "What is It" 5.4L 3V sensor

Can anybody tell me what this sensor is? Almost done with my rebuild and just want to know what it is. The one thing I didn't get a picture of myself when pulling the engine apart gosh darnit (googled this one and got lucky). There are 2 of them and look to be one on each head.

I believe it reduces RFI. Some kind of suppressor/filter.

Aha, after some google-fu I found this page. Mulestang put me in the correct direction...

Apparently they are ignition transformer capacitors (similar to the flux capacitor I believe) to remove noise from the phasers in the ignition system.

Flux capacitor... lol. Maybe we can activate them and go back in time to tell Ford the mistakes they're about to do on these engines... hehehe.

They are capacitors on cops , cop are ignition coils that create high volts for spark plugs . Capacitors try to nullify the effects of the coils creating radio noise/ interference . These rarely create any problems for the ignition . They could short and blow fuse for cops . Easy to test with a ohm meter .
