Default Adding Rear Glass w/ Pwr Window

Has anyone thought about adding this OEM product when their truck didnt come with it in the first place?

If so, what did you find for what all is needed, besides the window/motor/wiring? I'd like to have the back window so that when I have all the windows down, I dont get the wind beating against it created that "thud sound" like the window is trying not to implode. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I have the manual sliding glass and would love to have the power...Do it and let us know! lol. I dont man, your truck may or may not be wired for it depending on which package you have. I would think mine is simply because I have found wiring for pretty much every other option I dont have. (Digital AC, DVD, Heated Mirrors, Subwoofer) so im guessing my power is laying back there somewhere. Would love to be able to strap a motor on there but Im sure there is more to it.

Here you guys go, I didn't read it, but for $50 it's got to be worth it.

Thats a nice thread there GATORB8. I'm thinking of going to a wrecker yard this weekend and see if he'd give me a deal on swapping out my good window for a power sliding window, plus whatever parts/motor I'll need. I'll post my findings, both prices and install (if I get to that part). Thanks everyone so far!

Make sure you look into the rear defroster system. It's tied to your mirrors and climate control, and the sliding rears do not have them.

and if your truck doesnt have rear defroster, then this shouldnt be an issue, right?

Yeah, you'll be fine if you had a manual slider stock.

I have the SOLID rear glass, no defrost. I am wanting to add the power slider so I dont think I will have any issues other than all that is needed for the PWR slider anyways. Thanks!!!
