Adding Power Lock
Hey I'm adding power locks to my "05 F150 and was wondering if the lock is of the cable kind or if I can just add a universal actuator to it? Any help would be nice!
Thanks

I bought a kit off of Ebay about a year ago for under $40.00; it came with 4 actuators (I only needed 2 for my STX standard model), complete wiring harness, and two remotes. The kit even is pre-wired foir an inside door switch (I did not bother).
Easy installation. One thing I'd recommend though is to toss the screws they provide that self tap into the plastic holes of the actuators; after about two weeks, both actuators broke apart at these mountings. The vibration of the actuator solonoids going up/down caused these mountings to break. The self taping screws split the plastic holes. I went to Home Depot and bought 2 inch nuts/bolts/washers to replace the threaded style screws. Good thing the kit had 4 actuators!

i did as bucko did and got it off ebay, one thing i dont know if bucko has noticed or not, is when i finally decided to put a switch it it completed the setup so now i can puxh down the driver side by hand and it locks the passengers side at the same moment, same goes for when i open the door when its locked it opens the passenger side, i dont ever use the switch but its there so this function of the kit will work
