I'm deciding wether or not to install add a leafs without taking them to a shop to have them done. I think I can do it but I got the long one cause I heard they ride softer than the short ones. I am worried not being able to bend the leaf spring clamps off and then back on. Have yall got any tips on how to do this or any other tips that would have helped when yall installed your add a leaf. They are the pro comp leafs.

You don't have to worry about bending the leafs all I had to do when I did mine was jack the truck up by the frame then block it up and put the jack under the axle and undo the two u bolts then take the two bolts out of the leaf springs ( I had to cut mine off) then slide the new one in place and put everything back together

On no I ment bending the leaf spring clamp in and off sorry. The clamps that hold the leaf springs in line with each other. I heard from people that that's the main issue they run into.

Just wondering if you ever installed the add a leaf and how you made out with those spring clamps. That's the only part of the install im worried about but nobody talks about it. Thanks for any help. Mark
