hey now, rickyp thought that changing from a 17inch rim to a 20 inch rim, that his truck would get 3 inches of lift, some people just don't know.

I was. I had an 06 silverado. Compared it with an 06 2500. Identicle. We went so far as to break out the micrometer to compare. Funny thing,we had the same 6.0 motor. All he had was stiffer springs and a beefier rear end.

Rickyp is dumb for that one. I was merely pointing out that you could have some very large u bolts bent up and stack leaf springs til you were blue in the face, Wouldn't do much though. I do see people overloading all the time. Scares me really. I saw a guy pulling a 35' fifth wheel travel trailer with a stock f150,single cab 4.6 auto. This thing had 3 slideout. I wouldn't have pulled it without a diesel. BUT, he did. People are dumb.

Me too. I fish every weekend. You would be surprised how many people pull 20' boats with ford escapes and lil suvs. I have had to hok a strap to quite a few vehicles lately just to get them off the ramp so I can launch. People are morons.

I recant my previous statements about my chevy. That was my dodge we measured. Also an 06. Good thing I asked my buddy. We seem to end up with matching trucks alot. Like now,he has a ford scab 4.6. I have a screw 5.4. Wierd.
