Default Actuator question 2004 f150 fx4

My drivers side 4x4 actuator is shot and squeaks alot. I have a 400 mile trip this weekend and no time to replace it. Can I get by driving it that far? I will not need 4wd. Thanks in advance.

Normally a bad IWE will grind not squeak, does the noise go away when you put it in 4WD ??

No it does not. It is like a rubber on rubber squeak. but I did notice that 2 of the bolts that hold it in place the tabs have broken off the actuator so there is only 1 bolt holding it in place. I am thinking I can make the trip if I do not put it in 4wd, the shaft should just spin inside. correct?

I will try to get photos when I take it apart.
Thanks
