Default AC Output Question

My work truck is a '99 F250, and I've owned 2 F150's (a 2013 STX and my current '04 FX4). My '99 F250's AC freezes me, and both F150's put out cool air, but nothing that makes me frozen.
Does the Super Duty trucks use a completely different AC system than our F150's? Just curious if I were to swap a compressor or condenser or something else out of a F250/350/450/550 if it would improve that "chill" factor in my F150?
Any direction or constructive input is welcomed. Thank you in advance!

I can agree I've never had my 06' Supercab freeze me out. Granted it's cool and does the job, I hate to mess with it. For work I drive a 2015 F250 and it'll freeze you out, granted regular can new truck, but the air just feels way cooler in all situations

My A/C is as cold as any other vehicle I've been in. I am more than happy with it.

But I wonder why there are so many complaints about crappy A/C in this generation. And everyone says "Oh yeah, it's normal."

All I know is I'm glad I'm in the small group that has good A/C

at some point, ford decided that about 42 degree vent temp was acceptable in f150s. I think they did it for fuel economy. My 13 is bad, cycles at 44 and goes up to 48. Ford wont fix it so I park it in the hot months here in Houston.

I wouldn't say it's crappy. It just feels like A/C to me...It does it's best to bring ambient temperature down. I can generally leave mine on fan setting 3 and be comfortable. These southern humid summers (no pun intended) will put any A/C to the test. I think some people expect an A/C to automatically blow out -12 degree air as soon as it's fired up. When you have hot, 100 degree sun beaming down on your cab...it's gonna be hard to keep it cool. lol

The a/c in my 2000 F150 is by far better than my 2006. Not sure what Ford changed to make it suck so much in this gen but it is definitely lacking!

F250's probably have larger condensers and evaporators. There are a lot of factors that come into play, the size of your cooling fan, debris in the condenser, ambient temperature, relative humidity, how well your cab is insulated, window tint, even the color of your vehicle.

I bet if you insulate your ac ducts, it would improve dramatically. Also adding more insulation under your carpet and headliner will help. Pressure wash your radiator and condenser, make sure your fan cowling is sealed well. All these things will help.
