Hi,new to the forums. Bought an 04 f150 4.6l about a year ago. Since ive had it its hummed and and the 4x4 shifter has vibrated, always thought it was the t case but after some research have come to the conclusion its probably the #9 torrington bearing. Has anyone with this problem just drove the truck like this? The hum seems to get worse with speed but the noise hasn't gotten worse since i got the truck. Wanted to see if anyone has left the tranny alone and how many km they got out of it before a failure? Thanks in advance for any responses.
