Default 8" Suspension lift for 2007 F-150 FX4

Hey there im looking to put a Rize Industries 8" Suspension Lift of my truck. I am also looking at getting 37" Toyo Open Country MT. I know this is going to run my a few thousand, but i was wondering if i install a chip, cold air intake, and exhaust will that keep my gas milege the same as it is now.

Also im not sure what the gear ratio is in my truck.(i think 3.71) and I know i would have to regear, and i was wondering how much i should go up.

(im not the smartest truck guy, so if something i say is wrong let me know)

i NEED pictures of that when you get it finished! as to the gearing, here's the formula. new tire height divided by old tire height x present gear ratio. this will get you close to stock. you might as well get a programmer to recalibrate your speedo and gear change.

Your MPG won't be nearly what it is right now when you put that lift on it, even with those performance mods.

Gears would probably be your best bet, although they are the most expesive also.

4.88 would be a good all around gear. when i do my lift and run 37's i plan to go with 5.13 for gearing. it will only cause the motor to run at about 200rpm more then the 4.88 when going 85mph (which is basically nothing) and will help get the heavy 37's rolling easier. plus leaves room for growth if you decide to add a body lift and bigger tires in the future

I wouldn't go over 37"s on IFS. You will be replacing parts faster than you can order them.

well youll still have the weight of those huge tires so more hp is always a plus. at the very least, buy a performance catback and install a K&N filter into the stock intake. both will add some hp and the exhaust will make it sound more aggressive.

Personally if I was looking to do a lift that big I would look into a solid front axle swap. It would end up being easier than installing a big IFS lift. I did a 5" lift on a 1995 S-10 blazer and I wish I would have just done an SFA swap when it was all over. The lift is big buck and it performed like crap. I had to replace ball joints at every other oil change it seemed like.
