8" Rize

Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to lift a 2wd 8 inches? I know some will say its HIS TRUCK,HE CAN DO WHAT HE WANTS! But,I am just wondering.
I did a 3" HBS leveling kit myself. However, this doesn't allow me the clearance I am looking for. I don't do any serious offroading, but some of our camping/fishing/hiking/beer drinking trips take us down some pretty rough roads. While they arent muddy when we go,the ruts left from mudding are DEEP.
That being said, what tires would one run with say a 6" fabtech?
I am just tired of dragging ***** through thee roads.

not really double stacking lift. its just adding a level to a lift kit, basicly the level does what it would do to a stock truck. so you would bolt up a levleing kit to your strut, some have done it. i dont think manufacturers recommend it but it can be done.

With regular day driving and some off roading here and there, i doubt itd be a problem. And a level 4wd can fit 35s so an 8" lift on a 2wd is 4" higher, so 35s will easily fit.
Unleashed, ive heard when you run this setup you also need a driveshaft spacer. A guy on f150online did it.

fabtech may seem like top of the line to you. bolt in a suspension kit that actually increases your wheel travel. fabtech, procomp, rancho, all of those lifts just to make the truck look cool. They dont neccesarily make your suspension better in any way really. why pay 1500 bucks or whatever for a lift that does nothing for your truck but give you ground clearance? why not invest that in a suspension system that enhances your performance off road?

thats what he means is a long travel it widens and increases the travel of the 35s or 33s whatever you choose and they make the ride quality and dependability a whole lot better which is what will be my next big investment!! i agree with kingoford hes got this one in my favor!!

true. some of the coilovers that fabtech and procomp offer are indeed much nicer and do enhance the ride. but the "lift kit" itself will not allow you to use the full capability of the very expensive coilovers you have purchased. a long travel kit or even replacing the upper control arms to a uniball setup and coilovers will enhance the wheel travel of the vehicle.
