6000k or 8000k?
ok ive seen the sites and looked at pictures, but im not sure which HID bulbs i want. i want a slight hint of blue. some say that the 6000 is crystal white and others say it has some blue in it. the 8000 is basicly blue. the only issue i would have with the 8000 is do they perform as well as the 6000? can some people with either chime in and help me out?

4300 would be your best bet for usable light, 5000 if you want blue, 6000 and 8000 are a waste of money if you ask me, and i have 6000 in my heads and fogs and regret it

4300K is the way to go, IMO.
The bluer the light, the LESS light is actually put on the road, the less visible it is, and the more glare you get.

6000 has a little blue to it (mine are 6000 all the way around.) 6000 has more light out put than 8000. Stay away from 55w, they are hard on the stock system. 6000 appear white to you while driving, but people outside see white with a tint of blue.

Also, I got fogs, and bi-xenon headlights from xenonlink.com Contact them, tell them you are a member here and see if they cut you a deal. Mine came out to 225 shipped for both kits.

55w is not hard on the stock system. It has a lower actual draw than the stock system. Once on a good set of 55w HID's only pull a fraction of the power. It just takes a little more to actually ignite them to begin with.

I would agree that 4300K is the way to go, but 6000K should work. As you get into the higher K's you lost the distance and get more side light. It also is darker light and doesn't really serve a purpose. My buddy just put HIDs in his truck and he kind of regrets getting the K he did. His low-beams seem brighter to him than his high-beams.

how would 55w be harder on the system? to my knowledge the power for the balast comes from the battery. the only reason you hook into the stock harness it to get the relay that tells the lights when to ignite.
