Hi all, I've stumbled upon an edge, with dash pod, all cables and instruction manual on craigslist for 175 obo. What I'm concerned about is he said the dash pod is a little faded from 6 years of Texas sun. Is a unit this old still trustworthy? If I offered him 150 would that be a good deal for me? Would you pass on one this old? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I would think they either work as normal, or not at all. It's not like they get tired after a few years. I would get it. And if the faded plastic looks bad to you, then just get a new one. I think they are like $30 for the plastic. Offer him $100 and see what happens.

Just download the Fusion software to your computer and update it. There may be multiple udates available, so keep checking until there isn't one left. Do this before you load it on your truck.

^^^ This. I painted mine satin black and it looks great.
There are numerous brands of paint specifically for painting plastic.
You can also color match if you wish.
