I had some what of a service issue like you did with a motorcycle shop in south jersey. I took them to court and got all my money back.

Hold places like this responsible. It takes you 10-15 minutes to fill out the court papers which you can probably download on your local courts website and a few bucks to file the claim. It cost me $32 bucks to file and I got my $1400 and change back...NOT to mention the company is now listed as having legal proceedings against them.

Also make sure you open a BBB complaint/review. This helps.

I agree, BBB complaint!

Man that sucks. I'd be soooooooooooooooo pissed! Take them to court and make them pay. They sold you 1 kit and installed another, that's bs.

I myself almost bought that kit because it was cheaper but im glad I went with the Pro Comp in the end.
This forum helped me decide to buy a ProComp kit. Even though I didn't get one at first.
I saw your truck back when we first started talking a few months back. So I thought my frt bracket looked different. That is when I first got the idea that my truck didn't have the right kit. I started Looking at other trucks and found out my kit wasn't a ProComp. But I couldn't find my receipt.
I went into my profile info and took out the 6" ProComp from the info. I changed it to just 6" lift.
( changed Info back to Pro Comp now )

I found my Receipt two weeks ago!!!!
Got my Procomp on the truck Jan 30-31- 2010

I Filed a complaint with The California Bureau of Auto Repair Today!

Here is my truck today. with the ProComp Stage II Kit installed and driving nice...finally!!!

I went out looking for grill Ideas today. I don't want a cover. Rousch makes a nice one. but 4 wheel parts showed me a nice billet. I haven't made up my mind yet.

I have ALWAYS had a problem with 4WD Parts. They are the wost place to go to for installs. Back when I had a Jeep they installed a lift kit for me and I drove not one mile away from the shop and experienced "Death Wobble," also known as the front end shimmy. I took it back to the shop and they told me that they could no do anything about it and that is what happens when you modify vehicles past OEM standards. IT WAS A 4 INCH LIFT FOR CRIST SAKE!! In the end I took it to another independant off road shop and it was just the pinion angle. With a little adjusting of the upper control arms the wobble was gone. I had such as bad experience with 4WD Parts.... NEVER AGAIN!!!! They will never get their hands on my F-150....

Good luck I hope you get some money back or something. No one should have to worry about something like that. Well in your new pics I can tell you have a Pro Comp from the front crossmember and from the looks of your strut its a stage 2. NIIICCCEEE.

Default 6" lift

Sorry to hear that, Take em to court. and pass the word local..Nothing hurts the small local business worse than bad publicity, hell put em in the paper..I have learned my lesson as well when it comes to lifts....DONT SKIMP pay a reputable shop and better yet one with insurance. You should have a case considering you didnt even get what you paid for and it did damage to your truck and your wallet. GO GET EM!

Default The 1st step

I did File a complaint with the California Bureau of Auto Repair. I have pulled together invoices from all shops pertaining to the issues created by the install and use of the Doetsch 6" kit. I have gotten estimates for all needed work to remedy my issues. All Doc's have been sent to the investigator at "The Bureau of Automotive Repair" (San Diego Field Office) CA Department of Consumer Affairs.
The shops that are helping me and that have dealt with my issues are
True Line alignment. Provided measurement taken by three different alignments.
Ford dealer. repaired cracked hub and estimated the Front diff housing
Discount tire. Measured tire wear 11 / 9 / 6 - 32nds (outside/middle/inside) at time Doetsch kit was removed
Paper work and cost from 4Wheel Parts who took off the Doetsch kit and installed the ProComp Stage II

All this along with the paper work from So-Cal Suspension
Showing I bought the ProComp Stage I kit Even though he installed the Doetsch Kit without my knowledge.
