Default 6" suspension lift with 3" BL

What is the biggest tire size I will be able to go with a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift? The 6" lift and 35's just isnt big enough imo. If you are running the 6+3" lift, can you please post some pics of your rig and note your tire dimentions. thanks

38s more than likely, depending on the wheel and tire specs.

DO NOT DO A BODY LIFT!!!!! THEY ARE GARBAGE..... There are so many better routes you can take with full suspension lifts..the body lifts make noise, ride terrible, put your CG way way out of wack, are dangerous, and the list goes on....

im not trying to get into an argument but you are completely wrong. they arent noisy they ride like stock CG doesnt go "way out of wack" they arent dangerous and the list goes on...

i had a BL on my ranger and it made no difference in ride quality or noise. i never once felt like it was going to roll over either so the "out of wack" CG theory is wrong. if he was planning on a 6" BL (if such a thing was possible) i would say your right. that would be dangerous and cg would be off but 3" wont make a difference.

if you really want to argue the CG theory i can say this: a suspension lift raises the frame the motor and the body. all of the truck parts move up effecting CG. with a body lift only the body goes up leaving the heavy parts (the motor and frame) stay down low so if anything a 3" BL does less to the CG then a 3" suspension lift would and a lot less then a 6" lift. a 6" suspension lift + a 3" body lift makes the CG no less (possibly better) then a 9" suspension and no BL.

as far as safety goes when i had my ranger with 5.5" suspension and 3" body lift an old made ran a stop sign and hit me on the driver side. because of the hight of the truck the bottom of my truck body scaped the top of his hood but did no real damage. if i didnt have the body lift the old mans car would have totaled my truck by smashing the cab and door so the BL saved my truck so you cant say they arent safe

if you have the money for a 9" lift so you dont have to put on the body lift obviously thats the better choice but for people who already have suspension lift and want more the body lift is a perfectly fine way to achieve it.

Since body lifts affect the suspension components soo much, I can see how there is a ride difference.

the biggest i would go is a 37/12.5 or 13.5 my roomates truck had 38's and they fit but the first time we went trailriding and the suspension compressed bye bye fender flares needed new ones and had to have em painted before a truck show. oh and alot of people don't like body lifts but they do have some advantages of just how cost friendly they are i would just do that and get so gap guards and bumper brackets and you'll never tell the only thing that sucks is you won't be able to use your front tow hooks and you trailer hitch will sit lower unless you do a little fabrication work
