Default 6" rough country question

I ordered my 6" rough country lift this morning and can't wait to get it on. My question is this. In the instructions they talk about clocking the front drive shaft but they seem to imply that it is an option and not nessasary. Has anyone done/not done this? They say it is to remove driveline vibrations in 4x4 over 40mph but it reads as if it may or may not have this issue and is a fix if it does. Any help/coments is appreciated!

Just dont use 4x4 over 40 mph. I think maybe the reason they suggest this is because the angle of the front driveshaft changes causing the u-joints to buckle.

Just take a sharpie and mark both front and rear drive shafts before you remove them...when re-installing line the marks back up and you will have no problems...

I know alot of people are running this lift. If you are, did you clock the front driveshaft or no?

I'm running a rough country lift, my driveshaft was not clocked. Haven't had any problems with it offroading or on the road.

Yes I did. Just re-clock it, not too hard. Grind down the master key and re-align the slipyokes. Shops can do it cheap if you want. Driveshafts do bind up, I've seen it happen right in front of me. F150 just like ours on a 6" lift and the front driveshaft was completely destroyed on soft sand with not too much throttle. You never know, so just take the preventative route!
