Default 6" to 8" lift

hi guys,
yes I know how to use google. However, I'm told this is the best place to get any info I need for my f150. How does one convert an already lifted truck (6" currently) to an 8" without removing the suspension all together? I'm sure I sound stupid, but I'm new at all this. I want to get 37's on my 06 f150, but I'm currently only able to get 35's. Some have said I could go the cutting route, but I don't want to do that. I think all around it needs a slight bigger lift. Any thoughts without putting me down for my stupidity?

ohhh so trimming is going to be what I have to do. I saw a post in there saying they could add a 2" level kit but that doesn't sound right??? thanks for the thread.. any other thoughts?

Put a 2" level on. Or fiberglass flared fenders.

So with a 6" pro comp lift, it's safe to add an additional 2" leveling kit on the front and rear?

As long as you have full length struts in front. Not a good idea to stack spacers.

Some options;

1. Body Lift
2. Adjustable coil overs
3. 8" spacer instead of 6"

The one thing I would not do is stack a spacer on a spacer.

Body lift will have the least "snow ball" effect as the others you will want to consider adjustable UniBall UCA to get caster/camber proper etc.

You don't need a uniball Uca with only a 2" level, the angles aren't that bad. Now a body lift on the other hand is a huge undertaking on these trucks. They are known to be really difficult to install.

To clarify I was saying at 8" of suspension lift you may want to consider UCAs that are adjustable.

I personally have done several body lifts on these trucks and takes 3-4 hours two floor jacks, 2 4x4s and 4 jack stands...
