Default 5% window tint

I want 5% percent on my truck all the way around. How do I get it done because I think the only tinting place in my area follows the tinting rules and won't tint it 5% all the way around. So if I want 5% do I have to do it myself?

You will have to pay someone on the side to do it....

IMO...5% is very dark and it makes it hard to see at night or back up out of a parking space. I went with 15% all the way around and it seems to be dark enough but a little easier to see at night and more than likely someone will have to do it on the side cause most tint shops will not put on 5%.

Just my .02 cents.

Here is mine with 15% for comparison.

I would ask if I paid cash if they would do it...... I know of a few shops around here who will tint whatever you want as long as you write cash, they will then give you a handwritten receipt that does not have their name on it.

I had 5% on my other truck and it was really hard to backup at night. Most of the time i had to roll the windows down. I just got 15% all the way around on my truck and compared to the 5% i really cant tell a difference from the outside in, but from the inside out i can tell a world of difference.

wish I could do 15% up here in ND 50% is the darkest they allow you to go legally... and they really enfore it hard.. 50% on the front two... but as dark as you want on the back 3... if you want a brow.. AS1 is as low as they allow.. and in MN... you cant have any sort of sticker or decals coverying more than 25% of the rear window.. cops are douchebags about it too!

Not trying to highjack this thread, but i got a question.
Wont 15% look lighter on a dark color car rather than a white car?
I want to do 5% for that reason but if 15% looks about the same i'll rather do 15%.
