I'd really like to see someone with a programmer compare IAT from stock intake to one of those hot-air intakes. It sucks air from inside the engine bay.
For anyone with a so-called cold air intake and a programmer, what difference of outside air temp and IAT do you get? With my stock intake, I see a +3 to +4 degree Fahrenheit difference.

Google image "F150 cold air intake" and look at all of them. 90% of them suck air from the engine bay via an open/exposed filter element. The other 10% (Volant and 1-2 others) have a big closed filter box in front of the coolant reservoir, but with a tube that goes through the fender where the stock intake tract goes.
