Default 5.4l Oil filter adaptet removal

Hi. I discovered my 2005 f150 5.4l 4x4 has a oil leak coming from the oil filter adapter gasket. I can not find a method on how to remove the adapter. Could anyone please provide a step by step method. I do not have access to a vehicle lifter and I was told by many people that the vehicle can be on ramps instead. Thanks for taking the time to help me.

I can't give you a step by step, but I can give you some pointers. I did mine when I changed out my water pump and thermostat. You need to drain the coolant anyway. With the fan shroud out, and the skid plate off, it was a lot easier to reach a few of the bolts and the lower radiator hose. I also replaced that hose since it's a pain to get to, and it had oil residue (which will deteriorate rubber). I know I had to get at least one bolt from the bottom with a swivel joint and some extensions. Good luck! It's not fun, but totally worth it in my opinion.
