Is this new or a reman'd used engine??

I guess the days of buying brand new $800 long blocks is over??
I bought a brand new Chevy short block in '07 for $699.

I was looking at Gearhead and another one I can't remember and they both had the three valve 5.4s for $3500. I wonder how much it would cost to have a shop - NOT the stealership - install it. I don't have a garage.

They are usually more than everyone else but I recommend contacting Jasper for a reman 5.4 3v.. I bought mine through NAPA... (where I work)... And from the time the motor was installed it made more noise behind the timing cover when the engine was warmed up than my last one.. As far as everything else goes the motor runs fine and I have had 30k miles on it without issues but it sounded like a 7.3 and I ended up trading it in on a different truck.
