What is the reason that it might run rough after installing new plugs? Checking this forum it seems that multiple people have had rough running or CEL's afterwards?
After I did my plugs I had no rough idle or cel problems. Just make sure you put back what you take out properly and you should be fine.
One thing I did have a little trouble with were the coils against the firewall. It took a little bit of time to make sure the coil sat on the plug properly and didn't bend inside the boot. Poor angle getting those on the plug. I can see that being a rough idle problem for someone.

Wrong gap, forgot to plug the coil back in all the way, some other connector got disconnected, or you accidentally disconnected a vacuum line.

Yeah, I don't think running rough after is normal. Mine was perfectly smooth the first time it was cranked up after.

Well, I just bought the Lisle tool on Amazon for $68 + free shipping. Not sure when I have time to actually change the plugs and I'm still debating if I want to use the Motorcraft plugs or go with the Champion 7989...

SP515s or those Champions. Can do the Champions and just change them more often, more piece of mind that way. I think I'll be plucking my plugs out when they have 30-40k on them cause I didn't request plugs when they were done, and I have no idea what's in there.

Undecided on what I'll use though. I used to think the SP515s were one-piece, but now each has their pros and cons.
