Default 5.4 exhaust

I was wanting to switch up the exhaust on my truck I am running no muffler right now with duals out the back kinda feels like it lacks low end power since i took the muffler off i had the mbrp cat back exhaust and just made a y pipe where the muffler was awhile back I was wondering how a 3in exhaust with a flowmaster super 10 dumped out in front of the rear tire would be anyone got somewhat the same setup

I think there is a whole sticky thread about exhaust up at the top of the page, may check in there.

When I Brought my 08 with the 5.4 new I had true duals put on with flowmasters, I hate it when someone puts single inlet dual outlet and calls it dual exhaust. Well it's not if your going to do something do it right. Mine were dual pipes all the way back with a cross over pipe

I replaced the factory exhaust 2 years ago with a flowmaster dual exhaust. Now it's not a true dual. And I'm very happy with it I have spent a lot of time under my truck I did not feel like messing with a manifold back setup to do true duals the cat back system did exactly what I wanted with the look and keeping the exhaust out of the cab. Now to point if I understood correctly the 5.4 in my truck needs some back pressure to run right unless there is some modification and computer programming but I may be mistaken.

I had a cat back system to but got rid off the muffler awhile back and deffinatly noticed low end power loss I just dont know with a short run like I wanna do with a single chamber muffler and 3in pipe will have more back pressure than what I have now now its a single in dual out the back bumper corners now I wanna run it out in front of the passenger side rear tire
