I experienced something very similar. Whenever I was driving down the road, say 45 mph, if I really stomped on it pedal to the floor it would be jumpy and almost laggy. Took it to the dealer it was a bad coil and plug. Hope this helps

Coils are the new versions of spark plug wires. It does the same thing but instead of the wires leading from the distributor to spark plugs, the coils plug into a wire harness and connect to the spark plugs.

I really couldn't say without looking, but if it needs to be replaced, then replace it. A dealer or local shop can let u know if there is something wrong with the plug and coil. Then again there may be something wrong with ur driveshaft or u-joint.

Sounds like a bad coil pack. Most likly just the coil and not the plug. Depending on how much you want to spend on it determines how your gonna decide which one it is. I always buy 1 plug and switch it out until it stops missing. All you gotta do is unhook a wire and take a 7 mm bolt out to change them.

Might also be the clutch pack in the rear end. Mine would do the same thumping/jerking from a stop especially...A lot of guys will recommend adding some diff. fluid to it before changing it. Try that out and see if gets any better, the fluid MIGHT be $20 compared to over $100 for COPS or anything else.

It would be really helpful if you listed all the past history and maintenance of the truck. Most likely it is ignition related but hard to tell over the Internet. If the spark plugs have never been done then I would start there. Do they break easily? I wouldn't say they break easy but with proper prep work and tools thy can be changed easily. I would suggest having a motorvac service done before the plug change or at least run a bottle of techron thru the tank first. If a plug change does not help then it could be COP but again hard to tell these things over the Internet. Start with the regular maintenance things and go from there.
