4x4 Noise

4x4 Noise
I have a 2008 5.4 XLT F150 4x4. It's a manual shift and I've had this brushing noise coming from the shaft while the truck is in 2 wheel drive.
The noise starts when I get to about 30 mph and the noise can change if I push the 4x4 shifter to the right. I've had new actuator hubs installed, I've had 2 new transfer cases and the transmission rebuilt but the dealer can't figure out the issue.
They are now having a ford engineer coming to look at the truck but the dealership is trying to tell me that this may be a normal noise for the manual shift trucks. My only issue is that this noise wasn't there until I had the first transfer case installed.
Has anyone had this issue? is this a normal noise?

i too have a brushing noise (also have a 4x4 manual shift 5.4, mines 07), but it occurs all the time, even at slow speeds. It gets faster the faster i drive. Sounds like its coming from the front drivers side wheel well because i hear it the loudest and clearest when i have my head out the drivers window, as compared to when i had my buddy drive and i tried listening out the passenger window. been happening since i bought the truck a year ago and have put 13,000 miles on it with no problem but it does get annoying sometimes. and of course it seems to go away the few times i had the truck in for service and told my mechanic about it.

I've been battling with my dealeership over this all year. I didn't have the noise until after the first transfer case. I have a ford engineer coming to look at it next week. Mine can be heard loudest when sitting in the passenger seat with the windows closed.
