Default joining the 'scab passenger door rattle crew' any ideas ?

I have read thread after thread. Mine sounds like its coming from the front passenger door though compared to the rear door issue in most threads. I tried shutting the rear door real good from the top of the door. The bumper cushions on the door look good, not mushroomed. I read some thread that mentioned a cable in the front door panel might be loose. I really don't know where to start. I am going to have someone drive me around tmrw to see if I can hear exactly where the sound might be coming from before removing the door panel, something I have never done before and kinda scared to do it to be honest lol. Any help or opinions on what it might be would be great.

Mine was coming from the drivers door. Someone told me to spray wd40 into the door catch assembly. Not knowing exactly what I was doing I still did it. Something in the lock mechanism was making the noise and quit with the spray. Give it a good long spray and see if it helps..

Although mine is a supercrew, I tried everything. The only thing that got rid of my horrendous door rattle was replacing the striker. I guess the previous owner had the door out of alignment so long that it wore down the striker to the point that the door was just not latching onto it like it should have.

I have found that the rear doors are not latching on the bottom. Even though they feel like they are closed, when you pull on the bottom there is movement, just make sure they are fully latched. At least that was my problem.

Yeah, I have to slam my rear doors or the bottom doesn't catch. I can always tell its loose, cause my door will feel spongey when I close it.

Even though the rubber bumpers on my 07 FX4 looked good I replaced them with the part number I found in one of these threads. Both the left driver and passenger doors were rattling like they were half latched. The doors do not rattle at all now.

Tracked down the rattle. I took apart the door panel, speaker, etc and looked and looked. Well i finally gave up since i was having no luck and was about to put the speaker back in when i saw the tract. So i applied pressure and hit the door to make the rattle and no more rattle!! I am going to a window place so they can see if it is something that can be fixed without parts. Just relieved to finally know the source of the sound
