4r75 to 4r70 transmission swap?
I have a 2005 F150 5.4 with a blown transmission. I also have a 2002 F150 5.4 with a recently rebuilt transmission.
The 05 is a 4r75 and the 02 is a 4r70. As far as I can tell all the electronics are the same.
Anyone know if this swap can be done? Thanks.

They are the same but the 4R70 is weaker. You would be better off pulling the 4r75 and tossing a rebuild kit into it.

It can be swapped, but you will need a custom tune to properly adjust the OSS. The speedo and the computer will freak out until the calibration is done. The physical side is easy. I believe they are the same bolt patterns.
