Default 4R70E Performance Upgrades

I have a 2005 XLT with the 4.6 in it. I'm wondering if there are any high performance rebuild kits / shift kits / torque converters out there for this transmission? Mine seems to be slipping around 30-40 under full throttle and I'm just looking at my options. I plan to cam my pickup so I would like it to be able to handle a little more power. Thanks for any info.

I "THINK" shift kits aren't common anymore for more modern transmissions although I could be wrong... from what it seems, most people run a tuner like the edge and increase the pressure for each shift (an also change the shift point to their liking)

Research the jmod. It is inexpensive and effective. It consists of drilling out some of the passages in the separator plate to allow the clutch packs to engage faster. Sonnax has a couple kits one addresses some common wear/failure points in the valve body. I would stay away from boosting line pressure. I went this route and my trans only lasts 40000 miles. I did the jmod and love the results.

I already have a diablo sport InTune. I'm just looking for a performance rebuild kit really so it'll be a little more bullet proof. I'm at 150k and would like to rebuild it or maybe swap it for a 4r75e if that tranny will swap right in. Does anyone know if this transmission will swap in with minor modifications if any?

I don't believe there a a performance rebuild kit. There are a few things you can do like carbon fiber OD band and high energy clutches. The modifications I suggested would make it stronger. Your tuner is just boosting line pressure which in my opinion strains the pump and internals. I researched a better torque converter but the cost was twice he rebuild kit at $1200.
