44k BG Fuel Additive...?
Has anyone used the BG 44k Fuel Additive in your trucks? I have heard some good reviews but want to make sure it's not crap. It's between 22 to 25 bucks a bottle. If anyone has added it, do you have to run your engine or drive a certain distance after adding it? Thanks.

It's not " Crap " but now doesnt have the PEA it used to. IMO Redline SL-1 is the best fuel additive you can get today. Techron and Regane are also good products but does not have as much PEA in it as Redline Sl-1.

The best advice I got from dave at redline is to drive normally. Mid range trips with alittle ( 20 minute ) break is best to allow soak but he also realizes it's not always real world. SL-1 is an awesome product and if you have questions you can always call dave at Redline

I have run the 44K through my 04 S-Crew. I bought the truck with 62K on it.As soon as I got it I did a BG Synthetic trans flush, BG 4x4 service using there 75/140 lube. I do not run there oil in the truck as I use Motorcraft 5w-20 with a motorcraft filter as well. I will be using there Synthetic oil in my wifes new Fusion and in the 347 I just built for my 67 Fastback. BG makes Damn good products and I would not hesitate to use them. There 75/140 Gear lube is bright neon green. Looks like A/C oil dye. I had a pinion seal go to hell on my truck and found it right away from the puddle of bright green stuff under the diff. I get cost on there products too as the shop I work for is a BG Shop so that helps too.

Sorry to better answer your question, We have a fuel induction setup that is used to feed the product through the injectors while the vehicle is running. The tool is used to tap into the fuel pressure port (if equipped) or install it in line. You disable the fuel pump via inertia switch or relay and hook up compressed air to the tool to supply the pressure to the fuel system. The vehicle then runs off 1 can of the 44k alone to pass through and clean the injectors. After that you install another tip on the tool refill it with can 2 and it sprays a fine mist into the throttle body to clean the T.B.,intake track, and valves. The third can is dumped into the tank with the fuel and just drive the vehicle normally. I think our shop charges around $100 to $125 for parts/labor/service. Hope this helps.

my dealer uses the bg stuff in most of the services we offer. BG told us advisors that if you use a BG service there is a 1,000,000 mile guarantee on the service so if anything happens to your car after the usage of there products they back there fluids.
