Really expensive for that muffler. Are you including the tips in the two tail pipe price? If not it's really high, and still a little high IMO if you are including the tips.

Well, mine isn't exactly the same setup, but my Flowmaster Original 40 series setup cost a total of about $238 for parts and installation:
~$74 for Flowmaster 40 single in, dual out from Jegs.
$120 for installation at Muffler Bros, which was to remove the stock system, weld on the Flowmaster, and bend/install 2 out pipes to exit out the passenger side, in front of the rear wheel.
$44 for 2 square stainless steel tips from MufflerMall.
Now, it would have been more expensive if I had wanted the pipes run to the back, but over $400 seems steep to me. Back in 02 (I think), I had a system, similar to what you're describing, installed on a 93 Ranger for $315, all parts and labor from Muffler Bros; I know that was 7 years ago, but even if you factor in some inflation, you're talking about $100 more.

Well, that would raise the price a bit; there are many different models of the 50 series muffler, but the standard 50 series Delta Flow single 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet muffler is $99.99 on Jegs. I know shops put a price mark up on parts, but 50 bucks seems like a lot. Perhaps it's a different model than what I'm looking at, but from what you've described, that's the closest match I find.

Seems steep to me for that but at the end of the day, if it is what you want when you want it... go for it. Worry about shelling out an extra $75-$100 more when you do your next mod.
