Question 4.6L How many miles can be expected?

I have an '04 4.6L 2WD with a 107K on it. Oil and filter changed every 3K at the dealer, plugs changed at 80K, Trans flush every 25K and radiator flushed every 50K. I would like to get another year 20K - 25K out of her without major problems, how long do the 4.6L last?

I don't think 200K would be out of the question.

With most any of the newer vehicles, 150,000 is just broken in and anything less then 200,000 would be a disappointment.

The combination of better and more precise tools used to build the engines and much better oils have increased the reliability of todays engines so much.

Now it seems transmissions (not specificially F150s but across the board) are another story. Trying to stuff more and lighter pieces into smaller cases had taken a toll on tramsmission reliability.

Well, you are doing everything that you need to do to maximize the life of the vehicle.
