I want to put a tuner on my truck. has anybody put a tune on their 4.6 2004 or higher?

is it worth the 300 smackers? what have you noticed?

i'm most interested in the 4.6 but you can also tell me your story if you have a 5.4

i got a sct xcal3 from troyer and i love it. best mod so far. i have a 2007 4.6L at the time i ordered it tho i had a cai and catback. a tuner is the best mod you can do for your truck

can you tell me a little about what all you noticed and had to do with the tuner? I'm really interested in getting one... but I look on hypertech and theirs only give like... 15hp.

can you tell me the differences you noticed and all that jazz?

I put a Superchips in my 04 4.6. Its a different truck. Spins tires, catches 2nd, pulls really hard after 20 mph It was easy, it's a lot of fun, and for the $$, the best upgrade you can do for your truck.

Ok NGM, I have an off topic question for you, since you seem to be the foremost leader of the SCT clan. My buddy has a SCT tuner for his 03 cobra and lately it has been idleing horrible and backfiring on take off. He took the car to AMP Motorsports here in Phoenix and they told him all the SCT tuner does is dump fuel, all the time, and very excessively. They told him to take it out, have the computer flashed to stock and let them dyno and build him a program for his car, totalling 1000 bucks. whats your thoughts on this?
