That's not acceptable.

If they are telling you they can't get it in. Call the better business bureau.

If you need the vehicle in the next week, demand a loaner.

Their mechanic either missed something, or did something incorrectly, no need to drive a vehicle that doesn't run right and could possibly lead to further engine damage depending on the cause.

If the truck has a vac leak bad enough to cause it to run the way you say and how poorly it did the first three days. take it back demand a loaner. you could be hurting your eng more by driving it.
Another thing I am not sure if the truck could run with the cam timing off one tooth but some cars do run but with lag and hesitation or low power. It seems that the computer took? (Was it three days ) to try and compensate for what is wrong?
I owned a shop for many years. If there is something wrong I would put you in a car and take care of your truck.

You say you hear a vac leak!
TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO THE SHOP!
If that is not your choice then:

Take a vac hose or a short hose of some type around three ft long hold it to your ear and move it around the engine while it is running. "be very careful" try to narrow the vac leak

I have a Stethoscope that I use I got it from the tool truck. When I use just the hose end it works great for a vac leak and exhaust leaks
