Do they make a shift kit for your f150's? I had one on my previous (2001) tundra and it was night and day. 4.10's, a shift kit, and a good set of headers will help. ever take your truck to the track?
not even...if you were in the mustang world then the 4.56 would be over kill...and would take him out of his powerband most likely seing as 4.10 is a high gear when going from a 3.31...but the the 3.73 to a 4.10 isnt anything to even notice...

the shift kit would help, yea they do make em for us, plenty of em

get the 4.56, they go higher but you dont need anything higher...ford racing or yukon

No reason for a shift kit.. A good SCT programmer will firm up the shifts perfectly. 4.56 would be too much gear for a Mustang due to the low profile tire. IF all he wants is the off the line oomph and dosent mind bad fuel mileage then 4.56 is the better gear.

the new transmissions are sealed, that isnt much of an option. He would have to allocate a 4R75W from a Marauder, rebuild and repin.

troyer sells the kit on his site for the truck...

if he went to a 75 then he swaps like 2 pins...

I have the NOS Sniper EFI Wet Nitrous System. My truck runs very well but I was told that if I wanna shave off bout 2-3 seconds off my 0-60 time to go 4:10 and 4:56 would cut it down more than that but my top end would suck. I've looked into shift kits and i get good shift firmness already and higher rpms with the hypertech max energy. Ive ordered headers already, i just want to get to 60 quicker. and to answer someones question, i do take it to the track. my best on the 1/8 is 8.94 and the 1/4 is 15.08 but ive only ran the 1/4 2 times.

i know with the 8.8 they make a 4.30 gear ratio, not sure what axle you have. might be a happy medium between 4.10 and 4.56

Woah hold on, your best 1/8 is 8.94 and yet your best quarter is 15.08? A 8.94 1/8 mile is about equal to a 13.96 quarter mile. Seems to me you need to really work on your top end, cause something doesnt add up. Forget the 0-60.

I have to agree a NA setup usually is about 4.5 seconds between 1/8 and 1/4
