The taller you go with the tires over 35 inches the more you will need to re-gear, also a custom tuned programmer will help also. 4.56 or 4.88's are the most common lower gear's to go with. Heavier tires also take a toll on your brakes also. Expect 12-15 mpg at the best with a lifted 4x4. If you plan on doing a lot of highway or city driving I hope you have a large bankroll, and that's just for gas!!

It's not the lift that makes the gears needed, it the size of the tires. So even if you could get 37s under a six inch lift (which I dont know if you can) you are still gonna need to change the gears.
