Need Advice...2006 2wd w/6" Susp Lift & 3in Body Lift
New to the forum and have been reading some great info. I just put a 6" suspension lift and 3in body lift on my 2wd 2006 Lariat. Running 20' Motometal wheels with 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers. Question is what can I do to better my fuel mileage. I'm not trying to get great gas mileage or even good gas mileage but I thing about 9.5mpg is a little low. What can I do to increase this a little. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm getting about 11-12. Big heavy truck+big heavy wheels and tires+ 8 cylinder= bad gas mileage. Re-gearing would help. E-fans and UD pulley. Custom tunes. Better flowing intake and exhaust etc..

I have a 2wd as well and only have a 6 inch lift and my 35s dont rub they are even the same tires as yours. not even at full tilt. But then again I have 17x9 Rims, maybe the 20s rub? As for MPG I have a 4.6l and stock gearing and i average about 10-12mpg city and 14 highway at 60-70. I will be gearing in the summer though. As for other mods, I have a CAI, exhaust and an Edge Evo programmer( canned tunes)

Throwing away $1000 on tuner, exhaust, intake will never repay itself in mileage gains. Take the lift off, sell it and your wheels/tires, and fill up your tank would be most cost effective. With that much lift and rolling mass your mileage is gonna be horrible no matter what and no mods will make a big enough difference to repay itself. If you keep the lift, my best advice for mileage is to be easy on the throttle as much as possible.
