No Pain, No Pain!
I mean no harm by this, but why would anyone want to darken, or lessen the visibility of their brakelights? I would want them to be as bright as possible so that there is no mistake that I am applying the brakes... There are a bunch of idiots on the road these days and the more visible my brakelights are, the better!

They probably painted theirs, I used a translucent paint so the light came threw easily.
I'n that picture there are no lights on and the night pic may be just the running lights and not brake lights.

give them about 17000 miles and an accident or so lol...that'll do it...i got these for VERY cheap...130 plus tax...and my buddy n i mounted and balanced them at his house where you see the car sitting on bricks haha...he has and old balancer, and an old tire mounter, and a 5 gallon paint bucket full of weights...so that whole job took us about an hour or so, and 10 mins for the brake pads...and about 3 hours total in breaks haha...were very lazy down here...specially in the direct sunlight...
