Default 33's won't fit my 4x4

Ok so I just bought some new BFG 33" tires (on the internet) and went to mount them on my truck today, but of course when I took the truck off the lift the front tires where rubbing on the valance and were to close for my comfort in several other spots. So now I need to get a leveling kit, didn't really want to put one on just yet, was waiting to put on a lift. So just an FYI for those of you with a stock 4x4, Bigger tires may not fit. I do know that for some reason they all sit a little different but I would make sure before you buy.

It's pretty normal around here to buy a leveling kit w/bigger tires..

I was hoping to wait until I could afford a lift kit before doing anything, was just going to do tires for now, figured 33 would fit

yea, it seems like a consensus around here that 33's fit on stock 4x4. what size 33's are they? i had 305/40/23's on my 2wd and they fit fine (thats like 32.6) maybe your's are wider than 12.5 inches?

im not sure. sorry to hear though

33's not fitting??? Hmm thats strange, they probabbly are wider or something.

But on that note, does anyone have any pics of trucks around here with 6" or 9" lifts?

Idk how high to go, i want it high but i still want it to be fast. Any suggestions?

The tires are 33x12.50? I believe your problem. Before I put my Leveling kit on, the 285/70/17(33x11.3) tires were very close to the valance. Sorry to hear your problem. Looks like you'll be buying a leveling kit soon. You can get an AS 2 or 2.5" kit from ebay that is very affordable. Post some pics when your finished.
