33s vs 35s...mpg comparison
I have Toyo mt in 33x12.5 now. If I was to get a 35" at tire how much will that hurt compared to a 35" mt. Or if I stay at 33" and get an at tire will I gain any MPG?
Thanks just trying to weigh options.

Probably won't notice much of a difference to be honest. The biggest factor (besides size) is the weight of the tire. Usually M/T's are heavier than an A/T but to give you an example, I have 33" Cooper STT M/T's on my truck now that weigh about 65lbs each, and I was looking at a 35" BFG A/T that also weighed 65lbs each so it will probably all equal out in the end. Now if you went with a 33" A/T vs. a 33" M/T you might shed a little weight, maybe 10lbs or so, but not enough to really notice a huge jump in MPG's. Hope that helps.

To the op, I would say maybe 1 mpg less. I had 285/70/17 (32.8) and went to 315/70/17 (34.4) and lost about 1 mpg. The look of the bigger tires is well worth it in my opinion. Still get around 14.5 to 15.

I've got 33x12.5x18 now. Getting a little over 15 MPG with toyo mts. They weight 75 lb, looking for at tire like big that weight about 10 lbs less. Even if I got 35s in at they are still 8 lbs less.
