Default 33" with HBS kit. Need wheel fitment help.

Ok so I had planned on running 35" tires with my HBS kit but have found a couple good prices on some 33s. If I went with the 33s I would like a wider stance on my truck (Tires outside of the fenders). What is the lowest offset I could use on the wheels without any rubbing. I will be using 17" wheels and Super Swamper tires. If anyone has some pics to share of their truck with a wide stance please by all means share them with me.

A 0 offset would widen your stance and still not rub.

How wide are your wheels ? I just looked at a set of 17X10 wheels with 0 offset.

What about backspacing ? I just found a set on 17X9 with 3.5" backspacing. That means the wheel would stick out about 5.5" from the hub.

You mean 4.5 bs? I have never heard of 3.5, that would be a new one. 4.5 bs or -12 offset is more common. Those will definitely push the wheels out. May have minor rubbing but a little plastic trim would be all that's necessary if you were to rub.

Yes it was 4.57 (-24mm). I was to tired to be posting anything lastnight.

Jerry I have been reading about having problems fitting aftermarket 17" wheels. Do you have this problem at all ? I really want to run 17" but dont want to be gambling on them fitting or not.

I have no issues, although my truck came stock with 17s. The fx4 come stock with 18s but I have never heard of any issues from fx4 owners dropping down to 17s. That would be new to me and I been on the f150 forums for a couple years.
