Ok new issue, I have stock 8" wide rims, so what would it hurt to put a tire that says it takes a 8.5" minimum rim? Would that half inch be that critical? Or will it just maybe take 1000 miles off the life of the tire?

So if I run 315/70/17's or 35/12.5/17's (is there a difference?) on stock rims it won't hurt anything?

That's awesome, cause I found a pretty good deal on nitto trail grapplers, on both 33s and 35s, And know 33s would fit fine and want to keep my stock rims but wanted 35s now that I know it won't make much difference, I'll jam some 35s under it
