Default 3" Suspension Lift & 3"Body Lift... Good Idea??

Hey all,
Ive had my truck for a while and ive been saving up to buy a lift kit. I ran into a 3in Skyjacker lift kit and a Performance accessories body lift. They together with labor to install would run me around 1,500. Anyone ever put a body lift on a 3in lift?? Or should i just keep saving up for a 6in suspension lift that would run me 2k for lift and labor?

Thanks and if you have done the 3 and 3 if you could post a picture that would be great!

If you want to see how far the cab of your truck can fly if you get in an accident then do a 3" body lift. I also think it looks ugly as well, but that's just my opinion.

Personal I don't like body lifts, they look bad and longer bolts mean more strain to keep the cab and box on, more leverage.

A true 6" suspension lift will be far more functional all around and will correct the issue that arise when simply using a level kit in the front.

Curious how much they are charging you for labor for the body lift. I hear with these trucks body lifts are more involved and more labor than a suspension lift.
I'd just buy a rough country 6in for $1300.

No aware of a 3" suspension lift for our trucks... you must mean a level kit...and I do not know where you found somebody to install a body lift for that price, unless they do not know what is in store for them...plus you will need to re-position front and rear bumpers and buy gap guards to cover up all the ugly spaces you will see. Go with a true 6" suspension lift and do it correctly.

If I recall, skyjacker considers a 3" level and bigger blocks a 3" suspension lift.
