3.73 gears OK with 35" tires?

Gear and tire aren't all that matters for fuel mileage..... You have to look at load too. Just because one gear ratio keeps your rpm's at a desired range doesn't mean better mpg's..... And I'm currently Daily my truck with 4.56's and 265/70/17's (31.5 tall)...... And it's not bad. Most cases, a deeper gear helps in town mileage improve and decreases so you need to look at where you drivethe most. But the gain in town is normaly grater than the decrease in hwy mpgs. But you also need to look at how much/often you tow.

Gas mileage shouldn't even be a thought or consideration when going with the larger/HEAVIER aftermarket tire of choice.. Not all of our trucks are putting out the same amount of power.. I could have a power house and you could have a slug...
I did not regear.. It's been since 2011 of rolling 35's and 3.73... I would tell you mileage but i have no idea what it could be but my truck is a daily driver.. The only thing I tow is a KingQuad 700(656lbs) or a GSXR1000(358lbs).... You really gotta consider what is the neccesity is to regear.. If I towed heavier then i'd compensate by bumping up to 4.56... I have a Edge CS with custom tunes... It helps but i wasn't lacking power before it...
