3.5 inch level
Hey all, I was just wondering what your guys opinion on running a 3.5 inch level and adding another 1.5 inch to the rear on our trucks. I have an 07 f150 extended cab 4x4. Just wondering what everyone's opinion on that set up is. Thanks

idk who even makes a 3.5 level but i can tell you the answer is DONT DO IT!!!!!!. 3" is max at even that is a significant strain on all suspension complonents. Cv angles would be so far off at 3.5 on the front they would probably destroy them selves immediatly. The best way to get 2.5-3" is to buy aftermarket coilovers and some aftermarket control arms. Camburg, icon readylift etc all make the aftermarket UCA for our trucks and there are a few coilover options. F150lifts.com makes a bilstien based coilover with 0-3" lift for around 800$. From there it goes all the way to some king external remote resevoir coilovers that are around 1400 same as the fox 2.5 remote resevoirs for 1400-1500 a set. the rears are easy tho! either block it or grab an add a leaf. I actually am going to be posting a 3" f150lifts.com coilover set with camburg UCA and rear bilstiens in the next month on here once my new car comes into the dealership.

/\ what 05f150kingrach said! I actually would suggest putting on a 2.5" leveling kit if your just wanting to level it. If you're considering above that, just throw on a 4" country lift!

i agree with americanford89. If you want the 3.5 go to the 4" suspension lift. Both BDS and Rancho make them. If you just want a "leveling kit" look into the previously mentioned brands. Over all i would say the F150lifts.com kit seems to be the best bang for your buck unless you do any serve off-roading. that kit was designed for the average street guy with outdoor hobbies. (i.e. hunting camping etc.) if your going to be cruising through the dunes/woods at 50mph look into the king/fox2.5 setups, as those increase travel length over stock. Basically any answer will come down to what kind of $$ you want to shell out for what exact style of driving you do. I reviewed coilovers for a year before i bought mine and due to the fact i dont really go crazy off road went with the mid to lower end replacement coilover because it was still light years better that a standard leveling puck. Another very reasonable option would be the camburg (made by sway-a-way) or the fox 2.0 coilovers. they are also on the higher end of mid level for our trucks and provide amazing resuslt both on and off road from what i have read. Both are 0-2" adjustable and will level the truck. Camburgs are at the 1100$ pricepoint while the fox 2.0 are around the 700-800$ pricepoint for the pair. Plenty of threads on here for the fox 2.0s and some of the fox 2.5 on newer f150s. hope this helps

Thanks guys. I originally was just gonna go with the 2.5 inch level but lately I've been looking at wanting to do a 4 inch lift I just hate to spend the money they cost. That's why I was briefly looking at the 3.5 inch I came across. I just hadn't had time lately to do any research on it.
