Wanting to lift my screw more. Leveled now. But having trouble finding lift kits for 04-08 2wd truck. What companies make one that's not going to break the bank

Get ready for the infinite number of clowns that will surely reply with "Why would anybody want to lift a 2wd truck??" etc...

I'm in the same boat... couldn't find a 4wd for the right price on my timeline etc and really don't need one but still want some more clearance and a better look. From what I've found not many companies make a lift for 2wd 04-08, and the ones that do are 6'' and more than I care to spend for looks. Wish I could find a decent 4" lift for less than a grand and run 35's instead of a level and 33's.

A 4" lift on a 2wd is like a 2" lift on a 4x4. So most companies sell a 6" for 2wd, which compares to a 4" lift on a 4x4.

People lift and lower 2wd all the time. Go look in the "lowered" thread, numerous guys lowering their 4wd because they dont off-road but prefer a lower sporty look with better driveability in snowy/wet conditions . No-one should be flamed for either option.

First one is with a 1.5" Level and 33s no lift in back, second one is with New Leafs 4(1) Pack about 2.5" of lift and 2.5" Level up Front, I was going to go back to the 1.5" Level but buy Some 4x4 Shocks which will raise your truck in the front as well. Some one did it and reported no ill effects, and the Ball joints were at no worse an angle than a 4x4. See if I can't find his Thread.

That's so funny that you said that, because it's true! When I had my 2wd truck, and wanted to lift it, that's all i heard! Not one person offered good advice haha. I think any truck deserves a lift if you want it to have one
