Post 2wd Leveling help

I am new to the forums and I am seeing mixed comments about levels. I have a 2008 super crew 2wd and am looking to level it. I measured 3" of rake. Do 3" levels put too much stress on 2wd or are stress concerns primarily for 4wds?

So you have a 3" difference between front and rear openings in fender?
I think personally I would go for 2". That way it doesn't look like it is squatting when you are carrying a heavy load or pulling a trailer. You have 1" to play with when you are hauling something.

This coming from a guy that has a 2.5" leveling kit I'm about to install. I think mine will be pretty much dead level afterwards which I'm not crazy about. I was thinking I would have at least 1/2" rake. I don't think I have 3" of rake currently though. if I did I might feel differently.

Yes, I have a difference of 3". I measured from the center of the wheel to the center of the fender.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't consider the drop when hauling. Although, I may have only hauled loads in this truck maybe 3 times in the past couple years so I don't expect to haul anything often. It is just a commuter to and from work.

i would opt for a 2.5" kit and get a lowering shackle set at 1" IMO
