Default 2wd With Level/Lift

The man at the tire shop the other day told me 33's would not fit on my truck
"Toyo Open Country 305/45/22" he said I needed to lift it, which i was planning on doing. Then he said anything over a 1.5 inch level on the front would mess up something with my steering because its a 2wd... needless to say I'm wondering if i were to put a 3" level on the front and 1" block on the back would everything be okay?

Never heard anything about more than 1.5" messing something up. I've got a buddy with a 2.5" and 33x12.5x18 Nitto Trails on a 2wd.

MFE do you have a 2wd also? would 1" blocks on the back be rough on it or ware anything out faster?

I'm really leaning toward just doing it and not looking back, the guy said if you lift it to much that the tires will bow in and you cant align it is that true?
