Default 2wd 5.4L guys, hows your mileage?

I was looking into getting an FX2 and was curious as to the mileage that most 2wd owners were getting. I searched but in the old threads most guys didn't mention if they had 2wd or 4wd. Please note if its mainly city or highway.

Most of these trucks do 14-16/17-21.

You'd find that with most of the trucks.

I have an 07 FX2 gets 17 mpg combination driving. Steady highway a little over 18.
Winter with warm ups etc. 16.
Note no tonneau cover. Which might increase 1-2 mpg

I've got a heavy 4x4 Screw and it get's up to 19mpg hwy even with the mod's I have. The key is to drive a little slower and keep rpm's around 1700-1900 when crusing. I drive about 100 miles a day on my commute and get 16-18 mpg consistently. This truck is a lot better than the '84 I had year's ago with a 302 and C-6 tranny.
