2nd plug change success.....
Wanted to share my 2nd plug change success with anyone who might feel a lil nervous about it. Ran some 2 bottles of Chevron fuel system clearner and 8 oz of seafoam in her. All 3 tanks of gas were roughly 10 gals in the tank when i ran the cleaners. Decided to tackle it this morning. Gave it a good 15 min ride, popped the hood, remove the EMC/bracket and negative side of the battery. Used a 7 mm socket on the coil screws gave each plug a half turn with a breaker bar. Shot 2-3 good sprays of carb cleaner and let it soak for 30 mins per side. Each one came out easily with a cordless impact, almost too easy. New plugs were i stalled with nickle AS on the shank and a small dap on the threads. When came time to tighten them up, it was done with a 3/8 rachet. They were snugged up, then another 1/8 turn.*
Btw, plugs had 60k on them.*

He said 60K on the plugs. I'm guessing the first plugs were changed around 100K. He has a 5.4L. Different beast than the 6.2 and 5.0 you speak of.
Good work OP. Looks like you got a couple new toys out of the maintenance project too!

Truck is a 07 F150 5.4 3v. First set of plugs had the bad and i broke 2 back in the firewall. Pain in the ****! I replace those at 68K and put in SP515's the updates. I just replace them at 58k (dealer says 60k), so it was time.
Hope this helps ease the mind of someones job.

I've heard it mentioned that the SP515's are supposed to be a stronger plug and less likely to break like the originals. Anybody know for sure if that's really true.
Good job on the change. Looks like you were well prepared.
